DOWNEY WOODPECKER - 8x16cm. approx. - Inspired by local birds,these sculptures are   handbuilt and decorated using wax and glazes. They are then raku -fired and reduced in sawdust or paper to produce the black and grey body with a white crackle glaze. I like to perch them on the side of a tree or fence but they look good indoors as well.

    PILIATED WOODPECKER- 30x27x6cm. -  freestanding - slab and hand shaped from white stoneware,wax and glaze decoration, raku fired and reduced in shavings.
